Eric serves as the Church Engagement Program Officer at Welborn in the Christ-Centered Communities program area. His worldview is deeply rooted in his Christian faith, and he has a passion for mobilizing Christians and local churches to love their neighbors and cultivate love-inspired movements that bring life and flourishing to communities.
In his role, Eric works to equip, connect, and resource Christian churches, faith-based nonprofits, and individual Christ-followers to engage in cross-cultural ministry and community service—proclaiming and demonstrating the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed.
Eric previously founded and led Community One, a faith-based community development organization in Evansville, where he served as Executive Director for 10 years. Under his leadership, Community One provided neighborhood revitalization and housing restoration initiatives in disinvested areas of the city. Prior to that, he served for 12 years as Outreach Pastor at Crossroads Christian Church in Newburgh.
An ordained pastor in the Christian Church tradition, Eric also has a background in small business entrepreneurship and is a U.S. Navy veteran. He and his wife, Lynda, make their home in Newburgh.
