Kathy joined Welborn as our Endowment Advancement Officer following a 40-year career in public accounting, most recently serving as Vice President and Advisory Department Co-Leader at Harding, Shymanski & Co. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Evansville (BS, Accounting) and DePaul University (MS, Taxation), Kathy holds CPA and CIRM credentials and brings extensive experience in tax and business consulting. She has served on numerous civic and nonprofit boards, including the Indiana PERF Board, the Chamber of Commerce of Southwestern Indiana, the Junior League of Evansville, and the University of Evansville Board of Visitors. Kathy is passionate about helping individuals and organizations steward their resources for lasting impact and now leads efforts to advance endowed giving aligned with the Foundation’s mission.

Kathy is married to Craig and has two adult children, Katelyn and Keil (wife Megan).
