Krista joined Welborn in 2010. She holds the position of Senior Accountant, where she is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, accounts payable/receivable, grants payable, cash flow, and payroll. She assists the Chief Administrative Officer in implementing and maintaining effective administrative and financial systems and is significantly involved with the audit, budget, and financial reporting processes.

She began her accounting career at the University of Evansville, then spent several years at American General Finance, where she worked in the Insurance Accounting area. She continued her career at Vectren before taking some time away to start a family and become a stay-at-home mom. She returned to the workforce in a part-time capacity while her children were young at a local engineering and architectural firm before joining Welborn.

Krista is a graduate of the University of Evansville with a BS in Accounting and successfully completed the Certified Public Accountant exam. She and her husband, Brad, live in Evansville with their two children, Kaley and Porter. She treasures quality time with family and enjoys walks, working puzzles, and watching her kids’ activities.
