2026 Grant Awards Celebration
On Tuesday, June 23, Welborn announced the awarding of approximately $3.1 million in grants to 31 organizations supporting initiatives in Early Education, Healthy Communities, and Nonprofit Excellence across the Greater Evansville Region.
The grants were celebrated during Welborn’s annual Grant Awards Luncheon, held June 23 in the Welborn Community Room. Together, these investments will strengthen programs and partnerships that help children succeed, improve community health outcomes, and enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of nonprofit organizations serving local residents.
The 2026 awards represent a two-year investment period and are part of Welborn’s longstanding, overlapping grantmaking strategy designed to provide continuity and stability for community partners. The grants complement the approximately $2.9 million awarded in 2025 through Welborn’s Christ-Centered Communities and Nonprofit Excellence funding cycle.
“It’s an honor to partner with these organizations in this way. Lasting change doesn’t happen through a single grant cycle—it happens when committed organizations are given the resources and support to pursue long-term solutions. The agencies we recognized today are doing the hard work of transforming lives and communities across our region,” said Pat Creech, Welborn CEO & Executive Director.
The 2026 grant recipients represent a diverse group of nonprofit organizations [listed below] working to expand access to quality early learning opportunities, improve health and wellness outcomes, and build stronger organizational capacity. Through these investments, Welborn continues to advance collaborative solutions that address community needs and create lasting impact.
