Part 3: Working Together for Change
The work of lasting change is never finished – it’s ongoing, evolving, and deeply rooted in both stability and innovation.
Over the past 25 years, we’ve had the privilege to partner through nearly 1,875 direct grants totaling more than $85 million. But our investment goes well beyond grants. Altogether, we’ve invested more than $134 million into our region.
Along the way, we’ve stood up initiatives like Grow and Upgrade. We’ve worked on the tough issues of talent retention and attraction. We’ve influenced legislation. And we’ve helped establish statewide early learning standards.
Grantmaking will always be a cornerstone of what we do. But our role goes further. It’s about making lasting change. It’s about creating the conditions where people and organizations can thrive, where ideas can be tested, and where solutions can grow to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.
The path forward isn’t either/or—it’s both/and. Stability and innovation. Data and relationships. Grantmaking and changemaking.
